Birthday Party Invitations - Photoshop Art

Hello lovely people,

Today I am going to share Birthday Party invites which I created in Photo shop for my little one in past two years. I love making unique colourful invites for every occasion as its a good excuse to refresh my photo shop skills.

I love using photo shop to create unique designs as its so easy to use and also the end result can be shared through various mediums.

I printed the above card on sparkly pastel pink card sheet and cut the edges with quirky scissors. Posted these unique invites by mail to all our guests. It was nice surprise for the guests as every one's use to receiving invites online :D

Also I used all her favourite animals and made it bright and colourful.

Now you can order this product from our shop. My first handmade product is showcased on our website :)

For the above card I used her favourite colours and some expressive photo to convey my message. Being toddler she's obsessed with her own photos and have very particular liking towards colours. I used some bold colours and the circles to match it with the party theme.

This time I sent the invite through email just to surprise people.

Please share your photoshop project by leaving a link in the comment window.

Embroidery Table Cloth

In my recent trip to India I was able to capture all my old craft project through my lens and decided to share with you all!

It was nostalgic to see all the various craft projects I created and recollecting all the stories associated with it was best way to spend some time at my mum's place :)

This embroidery piece was made in 1997  and still being used as table cloth in mum's kitchen :D

The cloth's colour is faded and can't be revived much through photo shop either :P , but the embroidery is still pretty.

In 90's all schools were suppose to teach some craft subject for all ages from year 5 to year 10. This is where I learnt most of my embroidery stitches, and this piece was my final submission for my craft subject in 1997. So it has nice classroom memories attached to it and hence very close to my heart.

Do you have any special projects which have a nostalgic value added ? Do share with me by leaving a link in the comment box.

Introducing the most veteran crafter in our family... My Grandma's work for first time!

Now the blog officially reflects projects made by three generations of ladies.... My Grandma, mum and me ..hooray!
Design on the border of the saree

My grandma is in her late 70's and loves learning new things even at this age! She recently started following my blog (well her neighbour shows her the blog on her laptop once everyweek) and she showed interest in being part of this blog. She's a very verstalie artists, she is great cook, a very well eshtablished writer in Marathi, a good speaker and leader( head of senior citizen institute) and pursues crafts in her spare time. Me and my mum learnt the knitting and crochet from her and now she still learns new things and passes on the knowledge to us.

She learnt ribbon embroidery 3-4 years ago and since then has gifted me with 4 embroidered sarees. She made this one for my mum. I will post some more photos of my sarees later in the year.

She recently learnt some new jewllery techniques using glass beads and has gifted a nice choker to my little one. ( will post that  too soon..)

So I am very happy to see her keen interest in my activties and willingness to contribute more even at this age! I would be lucky to have half of her engery when I turn that old!

What do you think our new contributor to the Blog!

Cable Knitted Beanie

Hello crafters,

My mum made this perfect gift for me this winter. "Cable knitted beanie"

She made this in 15 days when I was in India. Its very comfy and keeps me warm.

Mum got this pattern from somwhere on internet and now we are not able to trace back to the link(bare with us till, She's learning abt linking links on internet)  The only thing she would like to change when she does this pattern again is to knit it on round cable needled , as some of the stiches were stretched when she knitted this one using 3 double ended needles.

Nonetheless I love this beanie and wear it everyday in Melbourne's Winter this year...
